As we grapple with what led up to our current political moment, we at the Mid-Hudson Valley chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America invite you meet us — and your neighbors — to discuss what strategies and approaches we could embrace as we organize ourselves, protect our most vulnerable, and fight for a better future for all.  We are excited to host this MHVDSA101 to help new and prospective members of all kinds learn more about the organization and how they can get active in the movement, including housing and labor efforts, defending our immigrant neighbors, mutual aid, fighting for public utilities, and more. Join us for a session that works for you!

Are you new to socialism and struggling with key terms and concepts? Or a longtime leftist who wants to distill your thoughts and feelings about socialist politics into everyday language? Maybe you're not even a socialist (yet?!), but want to deepen your understanding of what socialism is as a collection of political ideas and ideals. If any of that applies to you — or just want to meet other socialists/like-minded people, join us for this fun political education session.  We'll dig into basic terms and concepts in leftist thought, debunk some common misconceptions, and break into small groups to talk through our personal ideas about socialism and politics. All are welcome! No prior experience with socialism or political education needed!

Join your comrades and neighbors to rally for the rights of oppressed peoples everywhere! Bring signs and water, wear sunblock a hat and sunglasses. Socialist organizing in Orange County is red hot! Join us at Fox N Hare Brewing Co. for our monthly Port Jervis social. Learn more about DSA/MHVDSA, our work, and the many active organizing efforts in our area, including mutual aid (distributions of food, clothing, and personal care items), immigrant solidarity, tenant protections, Palestinian liberation, queer liberation, and more! This is an informal, interactive organizing discussion and hangout for DSA members, prospective members, and supporters! Socialism IS social!

Fall is setting in and the leaves are turning yellow, orange, and RED! Let's celebrate the season and our ongoing organizing efforts.
