Mid-Hudson DSA holds a monthly food pantry in Poughkeepsie and Port Jervis, with donations sourced from comrades and in our communities. This is a space for us to get essential goods to our neighbors while building common ground on the issues that deprive us of them in the first place, as experienced through an ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

Mutual Aid is a Direct Action strategy that is intertwined in all leftist movements. The Direct Actions done under the guiding Principles of Mutual Aid revolved around community welfare, with the intentions for folks to build permanent systems of support and self-determination in opposition to oppression and exploitation. The organizing strategies of Mutual Aid are vast and historic, many even argue they are directly connected to innate evolutionary characteristics of human nature.
